Intro to Inflammation.

Here at Priority Wellness, we believe in offering health and healing to you as a whole person through the mind-body-spirit connection. We believe strongly in helping you achieve your health and fitness goals while helping you to become the best version of who you were meant to be!

My name is Aletha Erpenbach, and I am the new health consultant for Priority Wellness. I have over 20 years of medical experience working as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner and am new to the health consulting business. I have a strong passion for helping individuals and their families stay healthy and even heal their bodies through diet, exercise, and environmental interventions. I am currently working on becoming fully certified as a Functional Medicine Practitioner and have done so much research on natural healing over the past 7 years! Plus, if you stay tuned for the next twelve weeks to this blog, you will learn tons of practical, day to day, healing measures that you can implement now at no cost to you or your family. These interventions have helped me to heal and improve my own family’s health, and I can’t wait to share them with all of you!

I am going to be kicking off our blog with a 12-week series to help you understand how to improve your general health by reducing overall inflammation in your body. HINT- inflammation is the underlying driver to most any chronic illness, ache, pain, or dysfunction within your body. Reducing overall inflammation will help to improve your energy levels, reduce overall stress on your body, and ultimately make you feel so much better!

I will be starting our blog series with the Mind-Body connection as I feel this is one of the MOST important first steps for you to take on your new health and wellness journey. You will learn how to use positive feedback techniques that will help everything you do for your body be more effective. Next, we will dive into how your environment can negatively impact your health. I’ll teach you to reduce your exposure to environmental toxins. Topics here will include: therapeutic bathing, water supply, cleaning your fresh foods, choosing beauty and skin care products, choosing cleaning products, and how to implement small measures and reduce toxic chemical exposure in your home. We will then start to cover how to heal your body through multiple anti-inflammatory techniques including: how to utilize anti-inflammatory eating, how to maximize your exercise routines for reducing inflammation, how to maximize your sleep cycle for ultimate cell repair and healing, and how reconnecting with nature can help reduce stress and inflammation. We will finish the series by putting it all together in a practical, meaningful way for you!

While these techniques can help with improving your general health, I do recognize that we are all uniquely and wonderfully made by our Creator and often come to the table with specific health or wellness concerns.
